Bachelor Automotive Technology
Students have the chance to develop diagnostic and mechanical competency in the automotive field. The program helps the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence Certified Automobile Technician Training Program standards. Graduates of the Automotive Technology program will be ready to finish ASE exams and may substitute their training for one year of the two years of labor expertise required to turn out to be ASE Certified. In the lab, students will learn a hands-on technique to perform primary upkeep of handbook transmissions, automatic transmissions, clutches, torque converters, axles, and drive practice parts. Students will also discover ways to use a wide selection of hand tools and precision measurement tools. In the lab, students will be taught a hands-on strategy to perform prognosis, maintenance, and repair of braking techniques and learn to use a wide range of hand instruments and diagnostic instruments and processes.
- Graduates of the automotive programs are extremely certified technicians with wonderful prospects for employment in the many dealerships and repair amenities throughout Connecticut and nationally.
