Hyundai UK Appoints AX and Avant for Accident Programs

Hyundai Motor UK has appointed AX Motor Assist and Avant to manage new accident management and approved bodyshop programmes starting in December. These initiatives are designed to provide Hyundai owners with a single point of contact for accident support, vehicle recovery, repairs, and replacement mobility, irrespective of their insurer, thereby simplifying the process for customers following an incident.

The partnerships are part of Hyundai’s broader aftersales strategy to support its dealer network and maintain customer relationships through servicing, maintenance, and accident repairs. AX Motor Assist will handle accident management, while Avant will oversee the approved bodyshop programme, ensuring that both aspects are managed with expertise and efficiency.

A dedicated team will coordinate claims, vehicle recovery, repairs, and replacement vehicles, offering customers updates at key stages throughout the process. Replacement vehicles and mobility options will be assessed early and matched to customer needs as closely as possible, ensuring that drivers remain mobile during the repair period.

Owen Shepherd, Hyundai Motor UK’s director of aftersales, emphasized that customers expect a simple, reassuring, and high-quality experience after an incident. He called the partnerships a significant step forward in supporting owners post-accident, noting that combining specialist accident management expertise with a strengthened manufacturer-approved repair programme creates a more seamless journey that keeps drivers informed, ensures correct repairs, and helps customers return to the road quickly, thereby enhancing their overall satisfaction and trust in Hyundai’s commitment to quality service.
