Mercedes‑Benz has announced the launch of a new Vito Sport‑X van that will be sold only in the United Kingdom, positioning the model as the top‑tier offering in its commercial‑vehicle line.
Design and equipment focus on a sportier image
The Sport‑X version sits on the existing Select trim level but adds a range of visual upgrades that echo motorsport styling. A bespoke front bumper with an integrated splitter and a reshaped grille lead the changes, while new side skirts and a pronounced rear spoiler give the van a more aggressive stance. Gloss black finishes on door handles and mirror caps, plus exterior graphics that identify the special edition, complete the look.

Wheel choice is limited to 19‑inch diamond‑cut black alloy units, which sit against the standard Alpine Grey paintwork. Buyers may also opt for Sodalite Blue, Obsidian Black, Kalahari Gold, High Tech Silver, Graphite Grey or Hyacinth Red at no extra charge, extending the palette beyond the baseline hue.
Inside, the usual three‑seat front bench is replaced by two individual sports seats. These feature integrated headrests, a mix of black eco‑leather and dark grey suede, and orange contrast stitching. The van is powered by a 2.0‑litre four‑cylinder diesel engine that delivers 190 hp, paired with a nine‑speed automatic transmission. The company lists a 0‑62 mph acceleration time of 10 seconds. Two body lengths are offered – L2 and L3 – both configured as five‑seat crew vans. The L2 version can carry a payload of 556 kg, while the longer L3 model handles up to 733 kg.
Pricing starts at £56,995, not including VAT. The price includes a three‑year, unlimited‑mileage warranty that covers roadside assistance throughout the UK and Europe. Orders are set to open in September 2026, with deliveries expected shortly thereafter.
