Ferrari Builds SF90 XX Without Mansory

Ferrari’s latest SF90 XX Stradale is a standout example of the company’s Tailor Made program. The car features a rare Verde Volterra paint, introduced for Ferrari’s Cavalcade 10th anniversary. This color, inspired by Tuscany’s settings, shifts between green and gold under different light. Burnt-orange accents and carbon-fiber trim add contrast to the exterior. Only 799 units of the SF90 XX Stradale were produced globally, making this one of the most customized builds in the program’s history.

The Verde Volterra finish is a four-layer paint that Ferrari first used in 2022. It covers most of the car’s body, with orange highlights on the hood vents, pin stripes, and rear wing end plates. Exposed carbon fiber appears on the hood and rear wing, emphasizing performance-driven design. Inside, the cabin uses high-quality Alcantara and JX Ultrasuede Black, paired with stitching in Sella and black Serafil. Carbon fiber also dominates the door panels and transmission tunnel.

The engineering team modified the SF90 XX’s aerodynamics and reduced its weight by 22 lbs (10 kg). The car retains the standard 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, paired with three electric motors for a total of 1,016 hp. These changes reflect a balance between power and lightweight construction. The modifications, however, come at a steep cost. The Tailor Made program alone likely added six figures to the base price of $840,000.

The car’s owner appears to have pursued an unusually bold vision. While Ferrari typically favors understated colors, this build diverges sharply from that norm. The extensive customization suggests a client with specific tastes, one the company likely views as a key customer. The result is a hypercar that stands apart from both standard models and even the usual Tailor Made commissions.

Ferrari’s approach to color and design often contrasts with competitors like Porsche and Lamborghini. The Tifosi, as Ferrari fans are known, usually prefer subtle aesthetics. This SF90 XX, however, defies that trend. Its paint, accents, and materials create a look that is both striking and unconventional. It’s a rare case where the customer’s vision clearly outshines the manufacturer’s usual restraint.

The car’s modifications are not just visual. The aerodynamic tweaks and weight reductions highlight Ferrari’s engineering focus. Yet, the Tailor Made program’s cost shows the exclusivity of such builds. While details remain undisclosed, the final price likely exceeds $1 million. This SF90 XX is more than a hypercar—it’s a statement of intent from both the customer and the brand.
